Living Above and Beyond

There is more to life than living it just for yourself. Living your own life is, naturally, the first order of business for any mortal creature. But the secondary responsibility of all mortal creatures is to live part of your life in service to others.

This can be as common and natural as parenting or as bold and risky as putting your life on the line for a cause that will eventually benefit mankind.

No one is expected to lay down his or her life for a frivolous reason but using your life experience to enrich the life of at least one other person is an eternal victory for the soul that dwells within you.

The Best Samaritan

Fear of punishment or retribution by a higher power is no reason for doing a good deed or the right thing. Anyone and everyone will perform an altruistic act if they think someone is watching and judging. Such cowardly acts are based on fear of reprisal and selfishness and carry little weight as deeds of service unto others.

When you are obligated to help others, do so with a kind heart and an open mind and focus on the welfare of those who will receive your kindness.

But service unto others without obligation or fear of judgment is the highest form of all services rendered freely to mankind.

Giving and Receiving

I do not watch you in your most private moments. That is forbidden. But when you approach the mirror to look at yourself, I prepare a statement just for you.

You will not receive it until you look away from yourself and give the world a moment. Then I will speak. But you will not hear me. I am a giver of thoughts.

Use them wisely.
